Jefferson Garden Club begins its 82nd year

The Jefferson Garden Club will hold its first 2014 meeting Monday, March 17, at 1:30 pm at the Greene County Extension Office, 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson.
Club vice president Mary Ellen Holz will present a program on saving seeds and seed saver organizations.

 The public is welcome to attend meetings of the Garden Club, which was founded in 1932. Club activities include caring for the Memorial Gardens on East Lincoln Way and presenting “Yard of the Month” awards to property owners whose efforts to beautify their space may inspire others to do the same and make Jefferson a pleasant place to live.
